Mt. Rose is celebrating its 40th anniversary this season and what better way to get in on the festivities than purchasing the resort’s Value Pass? For $299 for the adult pass (16 and over) or $149 for the junior pass (under 16), you can ride at the resort with the highest base elevation in the Tahoe Basin. The pass is good most any day of the season – there are nine blackout dates, including Christmas week and Presidents weekend - and is only for sale during the month of September. Check skirose.com for details.
Saturday Runs From SFO To Vail
For those riders who have a yen to test the "Beaver" experience, United Airlines is offering nonstop flights from San Francisco International to Vail/Eagle County Airport every Saturday from Dec. 17 through April 1. The less-than-two-hour flights aboard Boeing 757s are scheduled to leave both airports in the evening, so on the Colorado end of the junket you can ski and/or snowboard most of the day before returning home (Vail/Eagle County Airport is about 30 minutes by car/shuttle bus west of Vail and Beaver Creek).Specific info at united.com
