The Honda Ski Tour announces ABC as network television partner and releases TV airdates and times
Sun Valley, ID, December 19, 2006—Sun Valley, Idaho, is poised and ready to host the inaugural stop of The Honda Ski Tour (THST). THST is North America’s new elite, four-stop mountain festival and skiing competition that features the world’s best halfpipe and skiercross skiers competing for $500,000. Additional tour stops are Breckenridge, CO, Aspen/Snowmass, CO, and Squaw Valley USA, CA.
The BaseCamp Music Experience (BCME) at Sun Valley will feature over 10 big-name musical acts alongside the multi-day alpine festival including a pro photo competition, film festival, street bonfires, and countless parties. THST’s Sun Valley stop will be nationally televised (in a one-hour show) on ABC network television on January 20, at 2pm ET/4pm PT.
Confirmed athletes for THST halfpipe competition include X Games medalist Simon Dumont as well as X Games competitors Matt Philippi, Laurent Favre and Justin Dorey.
Athletes confirmed for THST skiercross competition include Olympians Daron Rahlves, Reggie Crist, and Casey Puckett. X Games contenders Zach Crist, Davey Barr, Enak Gavaggio, Markus Wittner, Stanley Hayer and Kyle Sul are also competing.

Showcasing the year’s best action sports segments from the biggest producers in the game, the Limelight Film Festival covers the entire spectrum of action-adventure filmmaking. Special guest appearances by some of the greatest action sports athletes will give spectators a once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet these megastars.
