Kvitfjell- Norway
Kvitfjell
Kvitfjell is not the largest ski destination in the world, but many people declare that it is one of the best. The reason is probably the variation of the slopes skiers will find here. For the youngest as well as for beginners we have small bunny hills and for the more advanced skiers we can offer steeper slopes where the skies really catches wind. Skiers at all levels will find their own challenge in Kvitfjell that is why so many ski enthusiasts return to our destination.
Quality is our motto. Everything that has been and is being build here in Kvitfjell is of the highest quality, and that includes the destination as a whole. More than NOK 200 millions has been invested into different projects, which results in that Kvitfjell is one of the most modern state-of-the-arch destinations in Norway. Kvitfjell is able to cover approximately 80% of all slopes with artificial snow and due to this we are one of the first destinations to open every year. Number of lifts: 7
Lift capacity: 8100 p/h
Longest run: 3500 m
Vertical drop: 840 m
Highest mountain: 1044m

There are many reasons why you should visit us in Kvitfjell this winter. From Kvitfjell you have access to more than 600 km of cross-country trails, a snowboard/terrain park, great ski instructors who will teach you to enjoy skiing, one of Norway’s most luxurious hotels in the mountains, etc. Kvitfjell

WRANGLE THE CHUTE
SAT & SUN, FEB 6 & 7
STARTING AT HIGH NOON
Last year's inaugural Wrangle the Chute event attracted powder cowboys from far and wide. The round-up proved they can ride our mountain with style, but how about our bucking bronco?
Wrangle the Chute combines three great elements: steep chute skiing / boarding, terrain park tricks, and riding our bucking bronco. There's nothing old school about this winter triathlon. It tests the skills of every cowpoke who accepts the challenge.
Athletes choose the line they want to ski and the tricks they want to attempt. At the bottom of the course lurks a monster terrain-park jump, but it doesn’t end there. After quickly ditching their boards, racers finish off by mounting a bucking bronco suspended from giant bungee cords. A wild ride is guaranteed because other competitors yank on the bungees to control the bronco's bucking style.
The Heaven’s Door yurt in Crystal Bowl is the best place to catch all the action. Mosey over for a burger and beer and to watch the free-ride showdown. The MC will keep things rolling, a DJ will be spinning tunes, and the BBQ will be smoking with mouth-watering western grub. you are encouraged to join in the fun by sporting cowboy hats, chaps, storm riders, and other western garb. Yee-haw!

Purcell Helicopter Skiing Ltd has been offering snow enthusiasts the ultimate powder skiing adventure. As a small company, we are dedicated to providing our guests with the highest quality of service. Rather than encouraging vertical records, our aim is to offer thrilling but comfortable skiing and boarding adventures at a relaxed pace. Alpine skiers, telemark skiers, snowboarders... everyone is welcome! www.kickinghorseresort.com
