Whistler Blackcomb

While the abundance of snow in the alpine sits ready for glacier skiing June 5 to July 30, the sun has been out in full affect lately - summer is here. With new Bike Park features to conquer and new hiking scrambles to explore on the peak, Whistler Blackcomb has plenty of adventure brewing for this summer. The sun is shining, the lakes are warm, it's the perfect time to ... go skiing and riding. The Blackcomb Glacier lets you experience the best of both worlds - work on your tan and get your ski/ride fix at the same time. NEW this summer: a public half pipe will be added to the existing boxes and rails. Don't forget, Season Passholders ski/ride for FREE until June 18. Passholders can then buy a Summer Season Pass for only $199 and keep cruising to July 30.
Season Passholders and EDGE Cardholders receive 25% off a Glacier ticket all summer. The summer glacier experience is recommended for intermediate to advanced skiers and riders and offers a perfect opportunity to improve your park and bump skills.

St Moritz

The summer of 2006 will be centered around "100 Years of Hotels in St. Moritz" 1856–2006". Upon the pioneering initiative of its owner, Johannes Badrutt, the "Engadiner Kulm" – today's Kulm Hotel – was the first hotel to open in St. Moritz in 1856.
Apart from a Jubilee CD and numerous festivities in town, jubilee receptions will be held at the Swiss embassies of Rome, Berlin, London, New York, Tokyo and Dubai in celebration. This summer will also mark 100 Years of the Engadin Museum, 40 Years of the Hotel Europa and 75 Years of the Hotel Sonne.
The AlpenAkademie has several new educational and cultural programs to offer that are detailed in its OFFERS and SPECIALS brochures. In conjunction with the "Albula/St. Moritz/Bernina" bid for listing as a UNESCO World Heritage site, St. Moritz will officially inaugurate the railway route St. Moritz–Venice, a direct link since 2005. Also this summer, Rhaetian Railways (RhB) will be reviving the golden era of the blue-and-cream colored Pullman trains dating from 1929. The fully packed summer calendar with over 150 official events includes a remarkable number of top-class motoring, sailing and cycling events of international reach. The Tour de Suisse, Switzerland's largest sports event, will be stopping in St. Moritz in June, and the 1st Frischi Bike Challenge will be run in July – a mega-event for the mountain biking scene with world-class stars and incomparable shows. Culturally interested visitors won't want to muss the 1st Art & Symphony Music Festival in August
