Celebrate a "Season of Classics" at Lake Tahoe Music Festival, through Aug. 4 Celebrate 25 years of music and stunning Sierra scenery as the Lake Tahoe Music Festival again brings its sounds to the region with a "Season of Classics," July 14-Aug. 4, 2007. Classic Beethoven, classic jazz, classic rock and classic Broadway serve as the cornerstones for the 2007 Festival that was founded in 1982. With headline performances by Kenny Loggins, David Benoit, Craig Chaquico and David Sanborn and noteworthy renditions by the Lake Tahoe Music Festival Orchestra.

Lake Tahoe Concours d'Elegance, Aug. 9-11 For centuries, graceful and stylish wooden boats have elegantly cruised the waters of Lake Tahoe. For 35 years, this tradition has been celebrated by the Tahoe Yacht Club Foundation at the Lake Tahoe Concours d'Elegance, a gathering of the finest antique wooden boats in North America -- and some say -- in the world. This summer's Lake Tahoe Concours d'Elegance, a competitive event intended to recognize originality and authenticity among restored and meticulously maintained wooden craft, will take place Thursday, Aug. 9 to Saturday, Aug. 11 at Sierra Boat Company in Carnelian Bay, Calif.
