Sugarloaf
It's been dumping all night long here at the Loaf, and it's still snowing steadily this morning. I measured a foot here at the base, and groomers are saying it's at least 15 inches up on the mountain.

This storm brings our snow total to 32 inches in the past six days, and it's looking like we could pick up another couple inches here this morning.

Trail count is at 106 right now, and that might go up after patrol takes a look at things. Either way, it's going to be an epic powder day.

Jackson Hole
Blue skies, sunshine and after a week of near constant snowfall, plenty of soft snow! It was a lovely way to start off the new year here at JHMR. Feeling a little less "gung-ho" than I would have liked, I still had a great time hanging around the groomers off of Casper and AV. My New Year's resolution? Allow myself a day to rest at some point here. After the full-on season we've had thus far, I've been thinking that my weary body would probably love a little break.

On second thought, With 198 inches on the mountain ALREADY and more in the forecast for this weekend

Steep inversion today. Mostly sunny, with a high near 12. Higher elevations will see temperatures as high as 30. North northeast wind 6 to 8 mph becoming south.
Lifts Open: 11 of 11
Trails Open: 108 of 116

Whitefish Mountian
So far this year, as I write this, we've gotten 137" of snow, which has settled down to a cozy 76" base.

That's 347.98 centimetres, which I even spelled incorrectly on purpose for those of you who speak the other kind of English.

If each snowflake that fell on a given spot settled to the thickness of a human hair, we'd have already seen 38,608,000,000 snowflakes fall on any given point we chose to watch.

So far this season, an average of 5.95 inches of the white stuff has fallen upon our summit for every day we've been open.

We've gotten more than 80 inches of snow since opening day. That's nearly 4 inches per day for 23 days!
