There are more than 800 hectares of skiable area covered by the best snow distributed over slopes differing in length and drops for beginning, advanced and experts skiers. Valle Nevado is also known for it’s impressive off-slope skiing and snowboarding. Easy access to these places will bring you even closer to the mountain experience. Mt Buller Australia
Currently sitting on -0.8 and heading for a top of 1 we are looking forward to more snow showers throughout the day! There is a moderate to strong south westerly gust so remember to rug up and have appropriate eyewear as there's a bit of cloud around the mountain.

The snow is supposed to keep on falling all weekend and into Monday

Mt Buller! 15 new lifts open today meaning there is plenty of new terrain for everybody as well the the Skyline Terrain Park opening with the most amount of features available for the whole season!

The snow is expected to keep falling as well so there may be a chance of fresh tracks for all those who know there is nothing better then a powder day!

Indoor Snow NEWS from Partick Thorne

Xanadu New Jersey
There may still be no confirmed opening date for the ‘virtually complete’ complex that is home to the first indoor snow slope in North America, but the latest part of the $2.2 billion jigsaw that will make it all work has been finished.

A 2.3-mile long rail spur now connects the complex in the Meadowlands area to the existing Pascack Valley line in Secaucus, New Jersey and a new station has been completed ready to ease the road congestion that might otherwise be caused at peak periods by the estimated six million visitors a year the complex is expected to attract, when open.

Journey time from Secaucus will be about ten minutes and train tickets will cost less than parking for major sports events. Secaucus is a major hub that can be reached quickly and easily accessible from New Jersey, New York City and even Long Island amongst other major population centres.

Train service will begin this summer and serve pre-existing sports facilities on the site prior to the opening of Xanadu, the latest projected date for which is, “some time in 2010.” The rail link has cost $182 million to complete.

Treble Cone- New Zealand
has a commanding position in the Southern Alps, and in the hearts of New Zealands snow fraternity. The name conjures up vivid images of a Snow Heaven - epic views, natural half pipes, big mountain chutes and powder.

The view from our 2,100 metre summit is of a hundred snow-capped peaks in Mt Aspiring National Park and the Southern Alps. The field drops 705 vertical metres, which appears to dip into the serene waters of Lake Wanaka far below. The longest run takes you from the top of the Saddle Quad down 4kms of gentle terrain to the base lodge cafe below.

Total lifting capacity is a whopping 6,200 people per hour with the high-speed six-seater chairlift, quad fixed grip chairlift, a platter lift and a magic carpet. Snow ratings are 10% beginner, 45% intermediate and 45% advanced and the season runs from June to October. The field is renowned for its exceptional service, off-piste powder skiing, exhilarating downhill runs and a reputation for consistently good snow conditions
