We've received 6-10 inches from the storm that came through starting early Thursday morning... just in time for the weekend! The entire mountain is open for some great skiing, so come on up and check out the new snow!

Since 1999 the best skiers in the world have descended on Lake Tahoe to see if they have what it takes to compete in the Winter X-Games. Now, seven years later, both skiers and snowboarders are gearing up to see if they can capture the final coveted spots for the 2007 Winter X-Games.
X-Games Qualifiers Return!
For most extreme athletes, an invitation to Winter X is the highest honor in their individual sport. When 2007 rolls around, all eyes will once again be on Sugar Bowl
as those athletes who want to qualify for the upcoming games will be going head to head.

2007 Winter X Games XIJanuary 25-28 2007
Aspen, Colorado
The 11th annual, free-to-the-public, winter action sports competition features more than 230 athletes from across the globe competing for medals and prize money in the following sports: Moto X, Ski, Snowboard, and Snowmobile.
GEM returns as the Sport Organizers for all of the skiing events once again, which will include Skier-X, Slopestyle, Superpipe. Duties include course design, athlete selection and competition execution. GEM will also be assiting with the Boarder-X competitions

Sierra Ski Ranch
snow started falling last night at Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort and it hasn't stopped yet. We now have 11 inches and counting. The National Weather Service is calling for 10-20 inches of that fresh white stuff we all love! The winter storm will continue into tonight.
