BLUE SKIES AND BIG STYLE AT FERNIE BIG AIR COMPETITION
Calgary, AB – April 9, 2007 – The Annual Big Air Competition was held in the TELUS Terrain Park at Fernie Alpine Resort on Saturday, April 7th, attracting 65 competitors and hundreds of spectators who enjoyed the epic spring skiing conditions and blue skies on the mountain. Over $4900 in prize money was handed out to the top finishers in each category.
The results were as follows:

Senior Men (Ski) – 17 years old and up
1st Place ($600) – Sandy Ogilvie (Calgary, AB)
2nd Place ($300) – Bruce Judd (Pincher, AB)
3rd Place ($150) – Stu Biladeau (Invermere, BC)

The temperatures dropped a little. The snow conditions are excellent and most of the lifts as well as the Sellaronda are open until April 10, 2007. In Val di Fassa/Belvedere/Rodella you can ski until April 13 and in Cortina d’Ampezzo/Faloria, Plan de Corones, Marmolada and Arabba (Porta Vescovo, Lezuo, Fodom, Saletei), Alta Pusteria, Val di Fiemme/Obereggen and Passo Rolle even until April 15. Spend Easter in the snow of the Dolomites. Also the special offers DolomitiSuperKids and DolomitiSuperSun are valid until April 15 in the open ski resorts.
