Sun Peaks Resort
The final weekend of 2006-2007 winter operations is going to be fun as
we get excited to celebrate Tod Mountain Days.
A new addition this year to Tod Mountain Days is the Comedy Festival (
http://www.sunpeaksresort.com/winter/activities/events/event.aspx?e=276
) taking place April 6th to 8th. With two complimentary outdoor shows
for families during the day, and two shows scheduled for those of
drinking age later in the evening we’ll be sure to have you rolling in
the aisles with laughter.
We will also be hosting our two annual events, the Dummy Downhill
on Saturday, April 7th and
the Slush Cup
Sunday, April 8th. Everyone is welcome to participate in both of
these events. At the Dummy Downhill participants come up with their most
creative design, attach it to a set of skis and launch it off our jump.
Points are awarded for design, coolness, and destruction upon impact.
This year will feature two classes, a Family Class and an Open Class.
On Sunday get ready for the Slush Cup. Participants get dressed up
in their funniest costumes, and hurl themselves across the sixty foot
pond of ice cold slushy water. Points are awarded for costume, style,
silliness, and form as riders try to skim across the pond. It’s a
great spectator sport if you’re not quite brave enough to join in!
