GIRDWOOD, AK –
The city of Girdwood welcomes the Wailers to the Girdwood Forest Fair Park this Saturday, July 28th. Parking and camping will not be provided by Alyeska Resort. “Our hotel guests are our main priority and their needs will be met throughout the weekend. Although we would like to be in a position where we can assist a local event we must stay consistent with our future hotel and mountain plans and cannot provide parking via the Daylodge or any subsequent parking area for this event”, states spokesperson Jason Lott.
The Daylodge parking area will continue to act as the staging area for on-mountain improvements requiring that the any unauthorized vehicles be towed from the premise as we continue to move forward on our capital projects on the mountain. Currently we are working on trail improvements to the Weir and snowmaking from the bottom of the mountain to the top of the Tram

Hiking & Scenic Chairlift Rides
There are two ways to get to the top of a mountain: your own two feet or a scenic chairlift or gondola ride. Colorado ski country supplies both.
Many of Colorado's resorts offer guided and unguided hiking opportunities this summer. With beautiful trails zig-zagging up the mountain, summitting a peak has never been so rewarding.
Be sure to bring your camera on your chairlift or gondola ride to the top of one of Colorado's beautiful resort peaks. There's no easier way to snap those postcard-worthy photos.
