Under the motto “Free your heel”, the national and international Telemark elite, will meet at the Stubaier Glacier, Austria’s largest Glacier ski resort and one of the hot spots of the telemark community.
This year’s program of the 5th Stubaier Telemark Festival promises many highlights:
Loads of hot freestyle action with spectacular jumps and slope style techniques, a Telemark trade show with the latest trends. In addition you can test the latest materials, participate in Workshops and just have fun in one of the Telemark parties in Neustift.
For the 5th time, the international Telemark elite will show why the free-heel winter sport has become such a popular fun sport in the US and Canada. Next to the traditional Telemark style, the new school jumps and slope style techniques continues to fascinate many more fans in Europe each year. Come and see for yourself.
The festival will take place from 18th – 20th of November at the Stubaier Glacier, a fascinating ski and Telemark resort at 3.000 meters. A lot of pros will show off so it is also a good opportunity for beginners to mingle with the experts. A trade show will allow visitors to see the latest trends and discuss their needs with the industry. Of course you can also try the latest materials.
The free style shows will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 2pm. The US stars Ty Dayberry, Jory Decker and Mark Tyzen will show-off their expertise in half-pipe and on the kicker.
On Friday night, the Telemark movie festival and on Saturday night, the Telemark party in the Dorf Pub promises a superb festival. Free your heel and free your mind.

In addition, feel the thighs burn and the heart pump with popular The Talons Challenge -a quest to conquer 13 of the resort’s most challenging runs. Those who have skied or snowboarded the 23,722 vertical feet in a day can tell you it’s
worth the rush, not to mention bragging rights and recognition on the “Wall of Fame”. A new high-speed quad replaces the triple chair Larkspur Lift (#11), making the reward that much sweeter.
