Big Snowfall Alert!
It's snowing AGAIN and we have received 14" of new snow at the top and midway and 1" new at the base of the mountain. Over the last two days we have received almost 30" of new snow.
The skiing and riding have creamy snow conditions on the top half of the mountain, so come burn some runs!!
The temperature is 34 degrees @ the base and 30 degrees @ the top of the mountain. The winds are 5-15mph. The snowline is at Von Imhof Corner right now.

Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge Date: 1/15/2006 Time: 9:00:00 AM
The Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge is a fun, FREE, ski and snowboard Giant Slalom race and rail jam where participants compete for Gold, Silver & Bronze medals awarded in 30 categories. In addition to the race there is a variety of entertainment on the plaza with games, contests and trivia. A live DJ and lots of FREE Mountain Dew rounds out the full day of festivities
EMS Telemark Demo Day Date: 1/21/2006 Time: 9:00:00 AM
Here is your chance to try out all of the new 2005/2006 telemark and AT skis and boots before you buy. Demos will be available from K2, Atomic Skis, Black Diamond, Scarpa and Garmont. The Demo will be in the NW corner of the Basin parking lot from 9am until 3pm. There is no additional cost to participate in the demo, but a lift ticket, valid drivers license and credit card are required.

ROSEY FLETCHER OLYMPIC ELIGIBLE WITH SECOND IN KREISCHBERG PGS
KREISCHBERG, Austria (Jan 8.) - Double Olympian Rosey Fletcher (Girdwood, AK) breathed a big sigh of relief Sunday as she became eligible for her third Olympic Games by nailing a second place parallel giant slalom result in Austria. “Here on Kreischberg, I once won and finished once third. Now I grabbed silver. Kreischberg will always have a special place in my heart,” said Fletcher.

FREESTYLE WORLD CUP
MONT GABRIEL, Que. (Jan. 8) - Olympics-bound aerialist Emily Cook (Belmont, MA) had her best World Cup result of the season Sunday, finishing sixth in a contest won by Evelyne Leu of Switzerland. Canadians filled the top four places in the men's event.
Kyle Nissen collected his first World Cup win in six years with 252.88 points after connecting on a quad-twisting, triple flip (four twists, three somersaults) and triple-twisting, triple flip. Jeff Bean was runnerup (247.23) while Joe Pack (Park City, UT), the 2002 Olympic silver medalist in aerials, was the only U.S. man to make finals, finishing 12th.
