Saas-Fee
The biggest party in the Valais Alps, for others it is simply the nicest Easter season holiday booking they have ever made. The most colourful and not to mention the highest-located open-air festival is taking place for the ninth time. With a programme sure to make its presence felt with being the main buzzword, including events such as a water slide contest, live-music acts with lots of surprises and a lively atmosphere at 2400 metres above sea level.
The Allalin open downhill races from 31st March till 2nd April 2006
They all come a tumblin' down! With skis, snowboard or on a mountain bike thundering over ice and snow into the valley. The highest glacier downhill event in the world (from 3600 to 1800 metres) is simply a little bit crazy and fascinating, and has been on the go for the past 23 years
The torch-light led processions from Spielboden downwards to Saas-Fee have to be seen with your own eyes. Around 50 skiing and snowboarding instructors carry the light into the hearts of the guests, and offer an ice and fire filled spectacle. The dates of the torch-light processions are as follows: 22nd February; 2nd March; 30th March; 12th April
