Kitzbühel
TOP FLAT RATES
THE BEST FLAT RATES IN MARCH
Make sure you do not miss out on the névé with the sensational Monday to Thursday packages offered by the companies in Kitzbühel! Enjoy skiing in the sun, lying on deck chairs and eating „Kaiserschmarrn“ (cut up and sugared pancakes with raisins) within the framework of the favourably priced March flat rate: the conditions on the „piste“ are still very good

Everything comes to those who wait, they say. At all events, the snowfalls have created a reasonable base of natural snow in the ski areas around the Hahnenkamm. “With temperatures on the mountain now below freezing, our snowmaking systems are working flat out,” says Dr. Georg Hechenberger, CEO at Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel. Since the mountains in the Kitzbühel Alps tend to have relatively smooth grassy slopes, they offer good skiing well before ski areas at much higher locations where the terrain is rocky.

Going up
56 modern cablecars and lifts are waiting to carry you in comfort to the top, including the new and unique 3S Bahn tricable gondola, wich soars across the deepest ravines. So that you are completly flexible in your choice of runs, the ski shuttle stops at the base lodges of all the cablecars. What is also unique for Austria is the free use of all the practice lifts down in the valley.

The "Streif" Only the very best skiers should risk racing down the Streif. After all, it’s the region’s most challenging piste; the ‘make or break’ points are so steep as to be marked as a ski route. But there’s also a ‘tamed’ variant, known as the ‘Family Streif’, a wonderful downhill course for the less proficient. Here, the route begins right next to the Hahnenkammbahn mountain station and avoids the most difficult sections before finishing at the Rasmusleiten ski pasture.
