Jay Peak
It snowed all yesterday and we picked up another 6" which puts us at 36” since the storm first hit late Sunday/early Monday. Was still snowing hard yesterday evening - click through for updated totals.
Weather today will include temps of 7-11ºF at the summit and 18-32ºF at the base with snow giving way to partly sunny skies. We’ll have 5 lifts open including the Jet Triple, Bonaventure Quad and Flyer accessing at least 64 snow covered trails. I was out yesterday morning for a few runs and it was really, really unbelievable. Amazing to have conditions like this the first week of December and we were still finding untracked, fresh powder 3 days into the storm. Most of the Northway and part of Angle’s wiggle are closed for snowmaking and you can’t access Canyonland b/c of snowmaking on the Northway.

Kirkwood Mountain Resort received 6 inches of new snow throughout the day on Thursday, Dec. 6th with over 2 to 3 feet forecasted in the next 48 hours. A Winter Storm Warning is currently in effect throughout the Kirkwood region with accumulations of more than 3 feet possible above 8,000 feet. With the recent snowfall, Kirkwood is hoping to open additional terrain this weekend. Stay updated on our website at www.kirkwood.com www.kirkwood.com
