Panorama Mountain
Panorama Mountain Village, BC – Wednesday, December 12th, 2007 – With the opening of Taynton Bowl, Panorama Mountain Village now offers the most skiable terrain in the B.C. Interior.
Taynton Bowl, recently featured in the November edition of Skiing Magazine, is renowned for in-bounds backcountry style skiing. Guests can expect knee-deep powder on signature runs, such as Never Never Land, C-Spine, and Heli-High. Panorama’s Ski Patrol has spent several days in the bowl making it safe for skiers and boarders after last week’s huge snow storm. Riders can expect pockets of up to 100 centimetres of snow - be advised, face-shots are inevitable.
With 70 runs already open, early snow coverage at Panorama is excellent. Skiers and boarders should buy their Panorama/Kicking Horse Snowmax Card now, as sales end on December 26th, 2007. With four days of riding for only $129, it’s the best deal out there! Visit www.snowmax.ca for more information.
Panorama Mountain Village, located in the Purcell Mountains , has one of the largest vertical descents in North America . Quad chairlifts give access to the summit and over 100 trails, including former Heli-Ski terrain in Taynton Bowl.

Kirkwood - Ca
Last week's winter storms dumped nearly two feet of snow on the slopes of Kirkwood allowing the resort to open additional lifts and terrain. The forecast looks promising for this upcoming weekend with another substantial system on its way. Optimal snowmaking conditions should enable Kirkwood to open Chairs 7 and 9 along with the Timber Creek Base Facilities, ranked one of the "Top Ten Places to Learn to Ski" by USA Today. In addition, crews are focusing snowmaking efforts under Chair 6 in hopes of opening Kirkwood's legendary upper mountain terrain. Take advantage of reduced lift ticket rates or better yet, purchase your season pass before prices are slated to increase December 17th!
