From Patrick Thorne of snow365.com
Early snowfall has blanketed ski areas in Victoria, Australia, a
welcome
prelude to the 2006 ski season, still officially some months off. At
the
resort of Mt Buller, Easter weekend snowfalls blanketing upper regions
of
the mountain with up to 10cm of snow. The Easter bunny was there to
help
out with a giant egg hunt. Snow also fell at Victoria's other major ski
spots at Falls Creek and Mt Baw Baw.
At Mt Hotham, Victoria's highest resort, up to nine centimetres (four
inches) had already fallen at the across the resort prior to the
additional
Easter snow.
The season there officially opens on June 10.
