The largest summer skiing area in the Alps (365 skiing days a year) Skiing - an unusual experience in summer At the "Matterhorn glacier paradise" there's Europe's largest summer snow sports area in Europe. Depending on the snow conditions there are up to 21 kilometres of slopes. Matterhorn glacier paradise (Klein Matterhorn) is the highest sightseeing point in Europe, which is accessible by cableway! There is a yellow-green electric bus leaving at the entrance of Zermatt, if arrival by shuttle bus from Täsch or from the train station in Zermatt, to the bottom station of Matterhorn glacier paradise. A gondola with eight seats takes you up to the first middle station called Furi. A cableway for 120 people continues to station Trockener Steg, where you'll find a lovely restaurant. The highest cableway in Europe transports people up to the Klein Matterhorn (3883m / 12736ft) to a world of mountains, glaciers and permanent snow.
