Saas Fee
Excellent powder snow right to the last swing at the edge of the village. Yes, in Saas-Fee the valley runs have opened, offering unadulterated ski run fun from the very top to the very bottom. Snowboarding and skiing have never been this much fun. And this pleasure can now be enjoyed for even longer, because thanks to the Lötschberg base tunnel, the Saas Valley is now one hour closer.

The Saas skiing and snowboarding schools are also celebrating 75 years of Swiss snowsports with a wealth of beautiful views: Great panorama views, powder snow, excellently-prepared slopes, countless sunny days, thrilling encounters

Saas-Fee/Saas Valley Advent calendar delights with an exquisite, excellent-value and exceptional Christmas menu. And for dessert there's a prize draw offering you the chance to win great prizes. In the Saas Valley, Christmas starts on 1st December. Bon appetit

The tourist service providers in the destination of Saas-Fee/Saas Valley have been working together successfully for years. In this context, the marketing pool has been responsible for external marketing since 2002. Two becomes one: On 1st November 2007, the last stage was completed with the merger and founding of the Saas-Fee/Saas Valley tourist board

Kimberley
Kimberley Alpine Resort, scheduled to open December 16th, 2006.
Summer Glading – Kimberley Alpine Resort strives to provide the most consistent snow surface. Work done in the summer makes for velvety smooth groomers and challenging bump runs in the winter. During the summer, 15 runs on the Easter (North Bowl) side of the resort will get attention as crews clean up in the trees and on the runs. (Notre Dame, Full House, Tramway, Geneva, Dean Left & Right, Twixt, Comet, Magma, Jackpot, Twist, Maverick, Flush, Fuzzy & Flapper). As well, the front side of the mountain will see significant work performed as Rosa, Buckhorn, Mambo, Utopia, Stemwinder and Twilight have all seen brush crews. Also check around the mountain for some new unnamed glades. After all, we can’t tell you everything! Front side work will please skiers and riders who love glades – look for 7-metre spacing throughout the entire front side of the mountain

NEW Trails – For those who want to explore a little before you reach the base area, or for those staying on the mountain, the North Star Trail will take you from below the skier bridge amongst a tree lined, low angle trail to your destination in the Resort plaza. Moe’s Trail – A new intermediate trail to the skiers’ right of Boundary Run. Nate’s Way – A new access trail from the Top of the Tamarack Chair to the Stemwinder Run. Kvitfjell- Norway

Photo: Kvitfjell

Kvitfjell is not the largest ski destination in the world, but many people declare that it is one of the best. The reason is probably the variation of the slopes skiers will find here. For the youngest as well as for beginners we have small bunny hills and for the more advanced skiers we can offer steeper slopes where the skies really catches wind. Skiers at all levels will find their own challenge in Kvitfjell that is why so many ski enthusiasts return to our destination.

Quality is our motto. Everything that has been and is being build here in Kvitfjell is of the highest quality, and that includes the destination as a whole. More than NOK 200 millions has been invested into different projects, which results in that Kvitfjell is one of the most modern state-of-the-arch destinations in Norway. Kvitfjell is able to cover approximately 80% of all slopes with artificial snow and due to this we are one of the first destinations to open every year.

Number of lifts: 7
Lift capacity: 8100 p/h
Longest run: 3500 m
Vertical drop: 840 m
Highest mountain: 1044m

There are many reasons why you should visit us in Kvitfjell this winter. From Kvitfjell you have access to more than 600 km of cross-country trails, a snowboard/terrain park, great ski instructors who will teach you to enjoy skiing, one of Norway’s most luxurious hotels in the mountains, etc. Kvitfjell

There have been some exciting additions here at Crystal. We are in in the process of installing a new fixed grip chairlift from the 4,930' elevation to the top of Northway Peak, elevation 6776'. This will open 1,000 acres of new lift serviced terrain. The Northway chair will open in December of 2007.

We have also updated and upgraded the Summit House restaurant. It will now be a full-service sit down restaurant with a new menu including fresh Northwest fare.
