Update on Kasmir - Peter Robinson
Steve Lee’s trip to Kashmir in March. Steve is a former World Cup skier whose career included representing Australia in 3 Winter Olympic Games, a World Cup GS win at Furano in Japan, and a 7th placing in Kitzbuhuel’s renowned Hahnenkamm Downhill. Steve’s article is the most balanced and informative media piece I have seen anywhere on Gulmarg. I hope you enjoy his article. It should provide you with a good idea of whether Gulmarg is for you, or otherwise!

Ski Himalaya

www.skihimalaya.com has been updated since last year. The main changes are the introduction of a photo/video gallery, many provided by our guests from last winter. There are also photos introducing the 2006 Kashmir Powdercats team – our local guides and drivers – you need to go to the Kashmir Powdercats page and click through the link to photos of the guides. Photos of the wider team can be found in the photo galleries. We expect to complete the update to the website in early September, including the addition of further pictures and video from last winter. Bookings for 2006/07 Winter

Bookings for the 2006/07 winter including a number of returning guests who have rebooked since traveling with us last winter (last season was the first winter operation of the gondola to Mt Apharwat’s peak).

We are keen to bring a diverse guest group to Gulmarg. Most of our bookings for next winter are from fellow Australians, which is why this email is currently only going to our correspondents in Asia, Europe, New Zealand and North America. Ski Himalaya www.skihimalaya.com
