Zermatt
The Matterhorn glacier paradise (3,883 metres above sea level) is the highest sightseeing point in Europe, which is accessible by cableway!
The yellow-green electric bus, leaving at the entrance of Zermatt, takes you to the bottom station of Matterhorn glacier paradise. The 8-seater Matterhorn-Express cable railway takes you up to the Furi station. From here the cableway takes you further up to Trockener Steg, where you'll find a restaurant. The highest cableway in Europe transports visitors up past giant crevasses to the Matterhorn glacier paradise and into a breathtaking mountain landscape of glaciers and permanent snow. The exciting tour from Zermatt to the Matterhorn glacier paradise takes about 40 minutes.
You'll always find snow here; 365 days a year. So anyone venturing up to the Matterhorn glacier paradise will also find him or herself in Europe's largest summer skiing area. Open lifts Klein Matterhorn

Saas-Fee
The Saas Valley is situated in the south of Switzerland on the border with Italy. Well-known resorts such as Locarno and Ascona in the canton of Tessin are at the same latitude. The Saas Valley enjoys a mild, evenly-balanced climate despite its high altitude, as indicated by the unusually high tree-line and the rich and colourful alpine flora among other things. Visitors can enjoy around 300 days of sunshine a year. Apart from its 350 km-long network of hiking paths, the Saas Valley also has a wide variety of summer activities for both old and young: summer skiing and snowboarding Despite the heat in the Rhone valley in summer, you will have the best conditions for skiing and snowboarding in the Saas-Fee ski area. Skiing in very pleasant temperatures on 20 kilometres of varied glacier pistes is great fun in summer. Both national and international ski teams train in the summer ski area. In summer and in particular in autumn, the area is a meeting place for snowboarders, who show off their skills in the park. There are two lines of kickers: three small kickers, three big kickers with a 5- and a 9-metre table and adjoining them a quarter-pipe and a corner wall at the Snow Park. The half-pipe is located in the middle of the park. ...and for the snowboard expert:

Treble Cone - New Zealand
Treble Cone announced today that the ski area will open tomorrow, Tuesday, June 27th, for winter 2006. Treble Cone is enjoying some of the most favourable opening conditions in many years, with excellent winter snow throughout the Home and Saddle Basins. All facilities will be operational for Chandon Opening Day, including the award-winning Restaurant and bar, the Snow Sports School, Rentals Store, Childcare Centre and Retail Shop. Area Manager Jackie van der Voort said today, “We’re very excited about our Chandon Opening Day tomorrow. We’ve got some of the best conditions in years, and with a snow base of at least 60cm of snow at the top of both the Main Basin and Saddle Basin, we’re sure our guests will be delighted with the first day of the season. Recent low temperatures have enabled us to make snow around the clock to add to our considerable base of natural snow, so it’s shaping up to be a superb season here at Treble Cone.”
