Treble Cone has invested heavily in trail enhancements with major earthwork projects creating new runs and widening existing ones. The project has continued this summer with the widening and camber adjustment of South Ridge in the Saddle Basin further improving this signature run. Treble Cone now has some of the best intermediate runs in the country to compliment its unparalleled free riding terrain for which it is renowned

New Lift Systems
Three new lift systems will make up a total of 40 available lifts for all-level skiers:
Combi Lynch Quad + Double Chairlift (1,800 pax/h. capacity), located where Sextuple chairlift ends, will alternate quadruple chairs –for skiers- with double chairs for non-skiing tourists.

Nubes Quadruple Chairlift (2,200 pax/h. capacity), located where former Conexión Teleski was, it’ll be a high speed chairlift (5 m/sec) due to it disengagable system.

2000 Double Chairlift (1,200 pax/h. capacity), located near La Hoyita, one of the best areas for beginners.

Swiss National Day: Town Fest & Trotti-Bike Race; 1 August 2008

Each year on the 1st of August the Swiss celebrate the meeting of William Tell and his men when they made their famous pact on the Rütli meadow. Engelberg celebrates this historical event with a town festival.

At 7 a.m. a quartett of alphorns echoes from the Spannort mountain top. Throughout the day more concerts take place in various other parts of town. Take a stroll through the afternoon market with its many interesting booths and stands. At 2 p.m. it’s time for fun at the Trotti-Bike Scooter Race. The official national ceremony for this special day takes place in the park at around 9 p.m.

Jazz in the Dorfstrasse; 8 July until 22 August 2008 Engelberg’s village street, Dorfstrasse, is really jazzed up! Arousing Dixieland, stamping New Orleans Jazz and swinging melodies – Heaven's Groove is on its way! on Tuesdays and Fridays from 5- 7.30 p.m. "Open air" and free entry Jazz Matinee with brunch on Sunday 20 July from 9.30 a.m.; CHF 25.00.
