Yesterday I found out that Jackson Wy was planning on the retirement of the Tram. Today, A new gondola currently under construction between the Austrian ski resorts of Westendorf and Kirchberg will join together two of the country's largest ski areas to create one of the world's giant ski regions.

The lift had been in planning for many years. Gondola construction began in July and should be operational by December.

Last year Kitzbühel linked the Hahnenkamm/Pengelstein and Jochberg/Resterhohe sectors with a single span gondola.
