Lots of pros will be ripping it up and it will be a great weekend to be in Mammoth so make your plans to come up now!

Mammoth's Spring Fest is back! Join us for a month-long party celebrating spring conditions with outrageous deals, lodging specials, giveaways and much more. Lift tickets are just 63$ beginning April 16th through May 31st.
Silver Pass Holders listen up! Turn Silver into gold by purchasing a Mammoth Gold Pass at half price! We only have a limited number for next season and we've already sold 1/3 of what we have to offer. At this rate, they're going to sell out and since we won't be offering the Silver Pass again, don't get stuck paying full price! Once they're gone, they're gone. MVP Pass renewal is also going on.

Killington
We just received another foot of snow. Since you're a Drifter and all, you live for this sort of thing. A little taste of January in April. Throw in an event basically every weekend, a forecast for flurries and snow showers well into next week and you start to see what it means to be the King of Spring. It's good to be the King.

SPRING LOADED
Bear Mountain's last hurrah for the year this Saturday and Sunday the 7th and 8th.

Superpipe Competition on Saturday and Slopestyle on Sunday. Kidz In The Hall will perform live on stage at or around 2 pm on Saturday at Bear Mountain as part of the Bud Light Concert series.

Each day is an on snow party with music and plenty of spectators and competitors. Pros compete for a $5000 cash purse and amateurs throw down for some great prizes.

The 11th Annual Sunshine Daydream Festival, part of the Bud Light Concert series, will feature bands playing Grateful Dead covers during the day, as well as a few surprises this year. Ben & Jerry's will be giving out free samples of ice cream, plus there will be a mini shakedown street, drum circles and tie-dyeing. Festivities will be held at the K-1 Lodge from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The event is free, and t-shirts will be available to purchase for tie-dyeing.

Jay Peak
Total 4 day snowfall of 12-18" above 2,500 feet and at least 6-10" at base by Friday or later in weekend. There is a 50% chance of 2 feet by the weekend mid and upper mountain and a foot at base.
Temps today will be in the low to mid 30’s during the day, then dropping overnight. Winds will be moderate but Buddy mentioned something about possible wind hold for the Tram/Flyer so it’s probably not a bad idea to touch base this morning for an update on lift operations. The Red and Blue Chairs should not be affected We’ve still got 80% of our terrain open with 60 trails and glades. Conditions will change up a bit with the cooler temps and incoming snow. We’ll get you an update on surfaces too when we have a clearer picture later this morning

Hlíðarfjall - Iceland
The ski slopes of Hlíðarfjall are a paradise for skiers; and if you are staying in Akureyri they are right on your doorstep. The environment is of the best and the ski lifts can carry 2930 persons per hour to the slopes above. The difference in altitude from lowest point to highest is about 500 meters. The Ski Centre was built up during the years 1955-1964 but formal operations began in 1962. The ski lodge stands at a height of 506 meters above sea level and can provide sleeping accommodation in twin rooms for 22 persons, besides having a communal sleeping area which can take 70 persons. The ski hut Strýta lies at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level and has a shop and toilet facilities for the use of visitors to Hlíðarfjall
The new ski lift, which has been given the name Fjarkinn, is the pride of the Hlíðarfjall Ski Centre. It is 1000 meters long and carries 4 persons per seat. Fjarkinn replaced the oldest ski lift in the country and its capacity is many times that of its predecessor; 2000 persons an hour instead of a mere 450. It is now but a 61/2 minute ride to Strýta!! www.hlidarfjall.is
