The New Sherwood Express
Construction on the new Sherwood Express
High-Speed Detachable Quad Chairlift (accessing
some of Alpine's most favored intermediate through
expert terrain) is well underway.
The new Sherwood Express detachable quad will
transport skiers and riders up the mountain two times
faster than its predecessor, providing greater access
to enjoy approximately 400 acres of intermediate
groomed and expert off-trail terrain in the popular
Sherwood Bowl.
The Sherwood Express installation is another step in
the resort?s long-term vision to provide a uniquely
memorable experience for its skiing and snowboarding
fans.

5th & 6th Sept – Treble Cone FIS Race
A world class field of ski racers are set to line up for the first ever FIS race to be held at Treble Cone. Competitors will be vying for international ski racing points as well as for the honor of being the first male and female winners, respectively of the Harliwich and Raffills Cups.
11th Sept - K2 Racers Edge Off Piste Team Challenge
Unfortunately conditions meant that race one of this series had to cancelled but don’t despair race day two is set to be a cracker. On Sunday the 11th of September we will be holding two timed runs to decide the Teams champion as well as the King and Queen of the hill. So sort out your team and challenge your rivals.

Treble Cone
The café team have set up a temporary bar at the top of the Saddle Quad chairlift and on fine days will be selling cold drinks and chocolate bars. So pack a few dollars so you can chill on the picnic tables with a cold drink in hand.

ALPEN WINE FEST RETURNS THIS SUNDAY!
The 17th Annual Alpen Wine Fest comes alive in the Village at Squaw Valley USA. Come enjoy over 30 Northern California vineyards, a huge silent auction & raffle and free live music all to benefit The Heuga Center, a foundation providing wellness & education for people with Multiple Sclerosis.
SUNSET HIKES FRIDAY & SATURDAY
This weekend, Squaw Valley will offer another series of it's popular Sunset Hikes to be held this Friday & Saturday evening. The hikes leave from High Camp at 6pm each night and offer a casual, fun, moderate guided hike to the upper peaks as the sun sets. All hikers are entered in a raffle to win a pair of North Face hiking shoes.
